These cards would appear to be sent by Jessie Louisa Smith (birth registered Watford Jul-Sep 1885) to Thomas Lance Simmons (birth registered Watford Oct-Dec 1885). Thomas was the son of John Tapley Simmons (born Bushey 1861/2) and Mary Anne (born Watford). John was a hairdresser in Watford High Street. Thomas Lance Simmons married Jessie Louisa Smith (marriage registered Uxbridge Jul-Sep 1909). In 1911 Thomas Lance (hairdresser) and Jessie Louisa Simmons were living at 9 Waterlane Hill, Watford with a six month old Thomas Lance Simmons junior.
