Where there is a problem in handling an item
there can be an additional "examination mark" added. This card
of Willian (number 261A in the Bedford Series) looks fine on the
picture side
The stamp, and the thimble frank for
Stevenage are fine - but it was posted without any message or
address - so obviously could not be delivered. The card then
ended up with a triangular examination stamp to show that it had
been examined.
