Similar to 'F. S.' Series "Girls I didn't Marry" |
Most cards in this series are unsigned but one version of one card carries the signature "E W." A search suggests that "E W" was not a prolific postcard artist. In addition there were a number of series signed "A E & E W" and these artists are identified as Archibald English and Ernest Edward Wise.
The link with the company H Vertigen & co and the reprint history, including the Lined Address back make the set of possible interest in understanding the routes by which cards were being republished. |
