Where the Troops were stationed

It is quite clear that Divisional HQ would have issued instructions to each of the units as to where they were to be based - but it would appear that over-zealous archivists decided that records relating to the period before the troops went overseas could be of no possible historical interest and have been destroyed. The locations given above come from assorted sources, including newspaper reports - mainly from the Hemel Hempstead Gazette. A scan of other local papers could suggest the location of other units around Watford and St Albans.
