Marsworth Monster A monster dead fish was seen floating on Marsworth Reservoir on Friday. Brought to the shore by a keeper, Mr. Charles Double, it was found to be a cat-fish 5ft. 6in. long. Partially disintegrated, it weighed 42 lbs, and had to be buried immediately. … At the turn of the century Lord Walter Rothschild brought a number of cat-fish from the Danube region and had them put in Marsworth Reservoir. Up till last Friday nothing had been seen of them for many years. Bucks Herald, 22nd August |
