Herts Heritage
Benskin's Brewery circa 1920
This site is run by Hertfordshire Museums and supported by a Lottery grant. It has some interesting historical educational pages which are worth visiting. The only problem is that it tries to be too clever - with long download times for some pages and black text on a dark background on the home page which is virtually unreadable! At the time this review was written it had links to the following topics:

- History of Beer
- Hertfordshire Brewers - mentions Adey & Whites (St Albans), Benskins (Watford), Christies (Hoddesdon), Hawkes & Co (Bishops Stortford), McMullens (Hertford).

- The Malting Industry - includes information on French & Jupps, Stanstead Abbots.
- Pubs - pictures and brief details of about a dozen pubs.
- Abstainers
