When Philip Reynolds died the next tenant of La Hogue Hall was Lewis Kent, whose wife, Augusta (nee Palmer) was the niece of Sarah (nee Evered), the wife of Philip Reynolds. Augusta died in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, in an area where some of Lewis Kent's relatives lived - and there were subsequent links with the Reynolds family.
