Sentimental Journey
Tracing an Outline of Family History
by Francis Pym
Privately Printed 1998
Hardback book, 25.5 * 18 cm, xx + 286 pages, plates. family trees, maps, index
This is an excellent example of a well (and expensively) produced family history telling the history of the influential Pym family, written by Lord Pym. The Hertfordshire connection starts with William Pym of Norton, Barrister-at-Law, who died in 1716 aged 77. His son started an association with Radwell which continued for several generations, while another descendant, William Wollastom Pym was Rector of Willian and died in 1852. There are also strong links into Bedfordshire. In addition to chapters describing key members of the family there is a series of annexes containing the transcripts of a variety of interesting documents.
