Goldfield Mills windmill at
the top of Miswell Land and the junction of Icknield Way. Built in 1840
by Mr. Groves who was a partner with the Mead family of the Mead Flour
Mill in New Mill. After a disagreement with the family he built the mill
to continue in business on his own. The main structure still remains and
has now been converted to private accommodation. This photograph was
taken during the early 1900's. |
