This is a well written and well illustrated church guide book which complements Canon Howard Senar's excellent history Little Gaddesden and Ashridge. There is a good description of the church and a list of the Incumbents of Little Gaddesden from 1209 until Howar Senar - who was appointed in 1962. There are Chronological Notes from Roman times to 1980, the earlier ones covering Ashridge and the village, the later ones mainly the church itself. There are details of the bells, several of which were recast in 1977.

In addition there is a map of Little Gaddesden and Hudnall redrawn from the 1838 enclosure map, showing individual properties and giving field names. [The same map is also given in Little Gaddesden and Ashridge.]
