Theft of Dog from John Catling of the Swan Inn, Boxmoor

STOLEN, from the Swan, on Box Moor, near Hemel Hempstead, Herts, a large SETTER DOG, white, with reds ears and cheeks, ...; answers to the name of PERO; about six years old. Whoever will give information to John Catling, at the Swan, on Box Moor, so that the said dog may be recovered, shall receive One Guinea Reward; and any person detaining the dog after this notice, will be prosecuted according as the law directs. - Two men were seen with a fishing rod and a landing net, dragging the dog through a field of standing corn, about Two o'clock in the Afternoon, near Bovingdon, Herts, with a handkerchief and a garter round his neck. Whoever will give information of the same two men, so that they may be brought to justice, shall receive a further Reward of Two Guineas, from John Catling, at the Swan, on Box Moor, near Hemel Hempstead, Herts. - Dated June 16, 1819.
