Newspapers

The British Library has all copies from 1818-1841 but only has a few copies of earlier issues.

The Times occasionally reprinted news items relating to Hertfordshire, for example the very brief A Stage Coach accident  of 1817 or the much longer Exhumation of a dead body of .

The paper continued as The County Chronicle, Surrey Herald and Weekly Advertiser for Kent, and probably dropped carrying Hertfordshire news at this time.
