was demolished by this date.

Further up the hill turn left into Sumpter Yard to visit the Abbey
As you reach the top of the the hill detour into the Peahen Hotel

London Road is to your left and
the walk continues into the High Street
on your right.
Looking North we can enter Chequer Street. In the distance we can see the Town Hall, which we will visit via the High Street and Market Place.
London Road (New Road on the map) runs East and replaced the
Old London Road
