This page is a tidied up version of the working notes I used during this research project, and records individual cards brought or seen, in order to plan future research, Blue text represents a link to another page, and a blue frame to an image provided a larger image. A grey background is used for similar cards , variants or reprints. |

When You Wish
Set of 6 cards recorded in PPCM (March 2009) It seems that all cards were printed at the same time from the same plates - but the process was interrupted to produce a variant for the American market. No other reprints of variants are known. |

This card was printed in two forms, and as all six cards in the set were printed from one set of plates, the other cards would have been printed alongside both variations. As can be seen the "2d" version was printed with the red and black plates very slightly out of alignment - and similar small difference in alignment can be seen for the other cards in the set (see example below). In addition the colours of the cards printed with the "5 cents" version appear to be slightly bolder and these "bolder" cards all seem to lack the "F S Comic Series" words on the back.
As yet I have no evidence that the 5 cents version (or any cards from the rest of the set) were sold in the USA |
