John Bowles was displaced by William Sherwin during the period of the Commonwealth and it would appear that the early registers were lost as a result.

Thomas Bowles sold the presentation to Nevile Butler

On John Butler's death in 1714 the presentation passed to the Lord of the Manor, Francis Breton, who passed it to the Master of Emanuel College, Cambridge.
