Catherine McCarthy (bedfordcathy @t aol.com) wants to know the background of Hilda BROWN, who married Sam WORKER on 22 Dec 1918 in Radlett Parish Church. She had lived in Station Road, Radlett.
If you want to find out about Hilda and Sam's place of birth and their parents the first stage is to get a copy of their marriage certificate so you know who her father was, his occupation, and her age and address at the time of marriage. assuming you don't already know when she was born.
While the marriage register for
Radlett has not been indexed by the LDS, the baptismal register has been indexed for the period in question - and does not list a Hilda BROWN. In fact you need to be very careful in your investigations and you may find some useful hints on Getting Started . BROWN is a very common name - and by way of an example 10 Hilda BROWN born 1880 are listed on the 1881 census.
