LVC Logo Back

No Logo Back

These cards were initially printed, using the same plates, on two different backs - one with the distinctive printed logo and a post 1906 message [LVC Logo back], and the other with a pre-1906 back which is worded in the same way as the Inland Saxony back - but has a full stop after the word "Post Card" and "Printed in Germany" in very small letters in the stamp box. [No Logo back].

Interestingly the earliest date for the "No Logo" back cards is September 1907 and for the "LVC Logo" backed cards is (with one November 1907 exception) July 1908, suggesting that the cards were being printed at the time the London View Company closed. The distribution of the cards with the "LVC Logo" backs was delayed and may have been sold off bt a firm such as John Thridgould & Co.
