"Dear Wifey" (1908) Probably by "F S" |
This is a set of presumably six post cards, copyright 1908 by A Q Southwick, N.Y carrying the set reference number "N20." They are unsigned and there is a companion set, "Dear Hubby", reference N19. It seems likely that the artist is "F S" (Fred Spurgin) and for a discussion about identity of the artist see the Southwick and Pictures overflowing the frame pages. |

Dear Wifey:- Lack of your cheerful companionship gives me a fit of the blues. This quiet bachelor life - with early to bed and early to rise has no attractions for your John No Signature |

Dear Wifey:- This is a dreary and slow life here without you! No excitement worth mentioning. I am up to my neck in work. Will have to go slow or ruin my health - yours John No Signature |

Dear Wifey:- Things are awfully dull here - Miss you so much. Lonesome as a hermit. Dying for some good home cooking - Have a sore throat - No dangers. Have a good time. yours John No Signature |

Dear Wifey. Life is a blank away from you, dear, so can't keep my mind off you. But don't hurry back or worry about me. I can barely manage to kill time for a while. - Yours John No Signature |
