James Stratton, an elderly man, of St.
Stephen's, was charged with
stealing two fowls, value 4s, the property of Mr. John
St. Julian's, on Sunday, 21st inst.
John Gomme describes

the arrest of
Stratton at his house in Christopher
Yard. Case remanded for
previous week. Thomas Powell, who had shared a cell with
James Stratton, gave evidence.
James committed for trial at the
Midsummer Quarter Sessions.
